Legatus seeks Chapter Administrator, Diocese of Palm Beach

Legatus, the international organization for Catholic business leaders and spouses, is growing its membership and is seeking a Chapter Administrator to serve the Diocese of Palm Beach chapter.

Legatus is an organization of Catholic executives with a mission to encourage its members to “Study, live and spread the Catholic faith in their business, professional and personal lives”.

We’re in need of a devout, passionate Catholic who exhibits excellent communication and organizational skills, and works well in a detail-oriented, professional environment.  In addition, someone with sales experience would be an excellent candidate for the position.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

the part-time Jupiter Palm Beach Chapter Administrator (CA) shall be responsible for the efficient and successful management of the Legatus Chapter under the direction of Legatus' Chapter Development Officer, through the cooperation of the chapter president, and the Southeast Regional Director. The planning and execution of a flawless and edifying monthly chapter event is vital to the growth and continued success of Legatus. Participation in membership growth and retention, along with the execution of the monthly chapter event are the primary responsibilities of the position. Duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Attend training sessions providing best practices conducted by the national organization

  • Plan and implement monthly chapter events and coordinate logistics, including but not limited to: venue contract review, menu planning, speaker invitation and travel, etc

  • Facilitate the process of membership growth and renewals by utilizing a CRM system and working with the membership chair

  • Market events to the membership

  • Assist the chapter board of directors in the fulfillment of their respective duties

  • Complete monthly reports for the chapter and submit to the national organization

  • Serve as the liaison between the national office and the local chapter

Education and/or Work Experience

  • Event planning and/or nonprofit experience preferred

  • Sales experience a plus

  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook and a CRM system)

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

  • Experience in negotiating contracts with various vendors, ie. hotels, speakers, entertainment, etc.

  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills; proven creativity 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with efficiency; strong organizational skills

  •  Professional demeanor and ability to interface with high level professionals

  • Customer service orientation

Physical Requirements

  • Minimum local travel required

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions and ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards


Salary and Compensation


Work is approximately 10 hours per week and is primarily from home; the monthly stipend is $600 and incentive compensation, which is based on the number of qualifying members in the chapter, is provided - thus, the CA has a vested interest in the growth of the chapter, as well as the renewal of its members.
